After 6 years, I have to let go Dubai to make room for what is in store for me in Abu Dhabi. Though I am just moving to the nearby emirate, still it's not easy.  I had mixed feelings.  Sad and excited.  Sad because I could no longer hang out with my friends as much time as I want.  Excited because I feel like something great is in store for me in Abu Dhabi.  I recall the things I have done and accomplished with the time I have spent in Dubai,  counting all of it, it made me realized that I guess it is time to move somewhere, have some change and build new set of dreams and goals to realize, make new friends but not forgetting the old ones. My trip to Salzburg was special because it somehow brought fragments of childhood memories.   When I was a kid, I would always make sure to watch on TV whenever Sound of Music was shown, which was usually during Christmas.  So when I went for “The Sound of Music Tour”, I (as well as the other tourists) had so much fun singing along with the Von Trapp Family’s songs being played on the bus. It was cold and wet when I was in Salzburg, but it does not matter if it was raining, being a “pluviophile” that I am, the more I have enjoyed the tour.  See below few of the photos I have taken of the places I have gone to.  My favorite is the Lakeside District.  Hope you enjoy it. I  went to Europe again in January 2013, for 5 days.  I went to Germany and Austria.  It was my second time to travel to Austria, but to a different city, this time I visited Salzburg.  In Germany I visited a few places.  My trip was my birthday gift to myself.  I went with a friend.   Travel cost was fair enough.  Though I paid for the air ticket more that what I have budgeted.  When I first checked for the air fare, it was around Aed 1900 only, after a week it has gone up to Aed2300.  Lesson learned: if you are sure and has finalized your holiday schedule, go book your tickets right away when you find the best air ticket price.  Hotel cost was around Aed 700 for a room for 2.  Food and other travel expenses I had prepared Aed2500, I also brought biscuits and canned foods, just in case. 5 th  and Last Stop: Vienna, Austria via Austrian Airlines:  1 day layover in Austria As mentioned on my post in  first blog post , I only had 1 night lay-over in Vienna Austria.  Not so much time to explore the City, I could only visit famous places near my hotel, like Schonbrunn Palace then walk around the city as much as I can until my flight back to Dubai. I stayed at Ibis Wein.  I arrived at Vienna at 7:30pm, after dinner just walk around the area, after an hour or two, went back to my room for an early sleep. The next day I went around by tram. There’s not much to tell about my Vienna trip, I will just share thru photos what’s there to share. 

I just had a lengthy discussion with a friend thru BBM (Blackberry Messenger).  What could be one of the most interesting topics there to discuss?  Of course matter of the heart, relationship, etc.  And between my circle of friends and I, we or should I say they like talk about about my being single. Right now, I am at the verge where I want to scream…. Please! Give me a break. Why is it, that my being single is so much of an issue with people around me – Family, Friends and Colleagues, and even with people who barely know me. My life has enough drama of its own already and the pressure from other people that (as if) I need to hook up myself with someone is not helping me in any way. Married friends would tell me.... "you should settle down, it’s going to be sad to grow old alone.  When you are married at least there would be someone you could share life with and have kids who would look after you when you get old." Today I woke up in a no-mood-to-work state.  But I have no choice  but to drag my self to the bathroom and position my sleepy head under the cold shower. As usual I got to work 10 minutes past 0800hours.  Had my tsai and adobo roll (courtesy of Arjay P.), then work work work..... Today I wore to work, not my regular office get up, a black skinny jeans, black flat shoes and one of my favorite blouse, pumpkin shape blouse which, I am aware of, gives me a preggy look.  Everytime I wear this, 2 of my female colleagues won't let the chance pass by without commenting that I look fat on my blouse, and the first time I wore it, one of my male arab colleagues even asked me "are you pregnant?" hahaha.  I don't care what they say with how I look on it, I just love it and I am comfortable wearing it, and that what is important.
